Now that we’re in October, the end of the year doesn’t seem so far away. After 10 months of breaking a sweat, things might start to get a little bit, well, dull. Maybe you feel like your workouts have peaked or you’re looking for new routines to mix things up a bit with.

With Pink Soda Sport’s latest drop landing on JD recently, freshening up your fitness gear has never been easier. But we know you need to put the work in too, so we’ve compiled a list of fresh new workouts to step up your exercise game if you feel like it’s time for a change.

High-Intensity Interval Training

Or HIIT Training if you don’t fancy the mouthful. Whether you’re on the treadmill or hitting the streets, cardio can sometimes get boring after a while. HIIT training’s been around for a while, but its quick, intense bursts are just the thing for speedy results, and at 10 or 20 minutes, it’s perfect for fitting into busy schedules.

It’s built around brief, 30-second sets of three or four exercises followed by 30 seconds of rest. There’s no set formula, but think things like burpees, mountain climbers and squats. Sounds easy, but even after 10 minutes, you’ll be feeling it. Best of all, you can easily do them in your room after college or work.

Pound

When you’re breaking a sweat, there’s nothing better than when you’ve found that rhythm between your movements and the music. You’re in the zone, you’re focused and you feel like nothing can stop you.

Pound goes a step further. Instead of music being in the background, it becomes the focal point. The workouts combine cardio, conditioning and strength training with the energy of drumming, using lightly weighted drumsticks called Ripstix to give you an all-over body workout that burns up calories, strengthens the muscles and improves your rhythm.

It’s all about having fun too – designed to distract you from boring rep-counting and the ticking clock, Pound keeps you focused on the music. After one 45-minute class, you’ll have nailed up to 15,000 reps without even realising. Rock on!

Pole Workouts

It might seem strange, but pole workouts are becoming more and more popular. They’re super-effective, total-body workouts that give your confidence a boost too!

They work the glutes, the abs, shoulders, core and more – plus you get to add a bit of exoticness to your routine and have fun doing it. A must for women strong on the inside and out!

Zumba Step

Everyone knows about Zumba and how popular it is, but have you heard of Zumba Step? The premise is simple: the strengthening of Step aerobics with all the fun of classic Zumba for a workout full of Latin rhythms and uplifting dance moves.
