As the clock ticks down on the transfer window there is still plenty of time for clubs across the Premier League to sign new players.
And if the rumour mill is anything to go by there is set to be an awful lot of late activity before Monday’s deadline.
Arsene Wenger has ruled Arsenal out of the running for any new signings in the window but speculation about a late move for Leicester defender Ben Chilwell persist.
One of the busiest clubs could be Chelsea with striker Pato set to complete a loan move from Corinthians and defender Matt Miazga expected to sign from New York Red Bulls.
Meanwhile, Newcastle and Villa want Loic Remy and Patrick Bamford could be set to join Norwich on loan. Rumours also persist about a potential Liverpool move for Gary Cahill. Roma are also monitoring the England international defender.
The Reds look set to miss out on main target Alex Teixeira with their valuation very different to Shakhtar Donetsk’s although there is interest in 21-year-old Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski.
Teenage Benfica midfielder Renato Sanches is linked with Manchester United but has a £60m release clause that could prove problematic. United are also in the market for a left-back and are reportedly interested in 23-year-old CSKA Moscow attacker Ahmed Musa.
Another player on Spurs’ shortlist is Fulham forward Moussa Dembele but it remains to be seen if an agreement can be reached before the deadline.
